2019 Walk to Cure Arthritis Raises Thousands

This weekend’s annual Walk to Cure Arthritis was a huge success thank to those who donated and spent their time fundraising - while the final numbers are still being tallied, the event was without a doubt a success. Friend, families, and coworkers came from all over the Greater Danbury area to support their loved ones living with Arthritis, and the weather proved to be the nicest weekend in recent months.

The purpose of the Walk to Cure Arthritis is to pursue a cure for America’s #1 cause of disability; one in every four Americans has arthritis, and two-thirds of those affected are under age 65, including 300,000 children. By raising money to find a cure, the Rizzo Companies, working with The Arthritis Foundation, makes more headway through scientific discoveries that bring us closer to a cure.

Bethel Schools Groundbreaking A Success

Thursday’s groundbreaking ceremony in recognition of the Anna H. Rockwell & M. T. Johnson Elementary Schools Additions and Renovations projects was, in every sense, a success! The Bethel community joined us along with the Bethel school administrators, building committee, and students, and we had a memorable day on all sides. Thank you to everyone who came out; we are so excited to be working on this project in our own backyard!

Stay tuned for more project updates!

Danbury High School Ribbon Cutting A Success

Today's ribbon cutting at Danbury High School went off without a hitch in the summer heat. Administrators, public officials, and members of the various agencies that helped bring the Freshman Academy and Performing Arts additions to life watched as Principal Dan Donovan cut the ribbon symbolizing a new year with new spaces at the school. Rizzo's involvement, from start to finish, has been something we are proud of; servicing our hometown of Danbury is an incredible honor.

Check out the full video of the ribbon cutting, filmed and uploaded by HattersTV, HERE.

"[The construction] did not stop the learning, it enhanced it in every way, shape, and form."

- Dr. Sal Pascarella, Superintendent of Danbury Schools
